Alumnus Released Solo Album

"Soundtracks For Trying Times" is the debut solo album by North Texas Jazz and The One O'Clock Lab Band’s Brian Donohoe (BM ‘05, MM ’07) featuring guest appearances by noteworthy musicians including North Texas alumni Chris McQueen (BM ’05) and Matthew Muehling. Guests include members and alumni of Snarky Puppy, H.E.R., Bokante, Kanye, Gwen Stefani, Myron Walden, and Brian's fusion group Progger. Album artwork: Alumnus Jared Stone.

Three Wind Faculty Published

Andrew Trachsel (MM '05, DMA '07), Associate Professor of Wind Studies and Chair of the Division of Conducting and Ensembles along with Regents Professor of Music and Director of Wind Studies, Eugene Corporon, have been published in Teaching Music through Performance in Band Volume 12. They both selected the repertoire while Trachsel served as editor. Daniel Cook, Lecturer in Wind Studies and Director of Athletic Bands contributed a section of teacher resource guides.

Alumna Named Executive Director
