The Journal of Research in Music Education has published a new research article, Perceptions of Choral Performances with Static and Expressive Movement, written by Jessica Napoles, University of North Texas Associate Professor of Music Education, UNT alumna Kari Adams (PhD ’20) and colleagues John M. Geringer and D. Gregory Springer.

Flute! Fundamentals is a workshop for performers and educators interested in developing teaching and performing skills. Participants observe master teaching and interact with artist Mary Karen Clardy coaching students of all levels in daily sessions. Basics of embouchure, breathing, tone production, phrasing, articulation, vibrato, and technical skills are addressed, with practical exercises/solutions for common flute problems given throughout the class.
