Our alumni hold prestigious singing or conducting positions with the Metropolitan Opera, New York City Opera, Chicago Lyric Opera, Houston Grand Opera, numerous regional opera companies, nationally prominent professional choirs (including Conspirare, the Santa Fe Desert Chorale, Seraphic Fire, A Room full of Teeth, the Singing Sergeants, the President’s Own Marine Band, the Navy Sea Chanters, the U.S. Army Chorus), and university faculties across the nation.

Once you have been accepted by UNT, you will receive information about Orientation Advising and Registration (http://studentaffairs.unt.edu/orientation). We recommend that you attend the earliest available orientation session the before you begin at UNT. These sessions fill quickly, so we urge you to send in your UNT application as soon as possible.
Music majors take basic core music classes in theory, history, private lessons, piano, and performance groups (music laboratories).
