Stephen Lucas is a musician, intermedia artist, and programmer based in Denton, TX. He is currently the Lead Creative Programmer for the Initiative for Advanced Research in Technology and the Arts and the Division of Composition Studies at the University of North Texas, where he specializes in creating interactive audiovisual software for multimedia performances and data sonification/visualization. He also performs contemporary and progressive rock music as a keyboardist and electronic musician. His multimedia compositions are known for combining starkly cartoonish and abstract elements. His other major interests include cybernetics, metaphysics, and baking.
