Alumna Wins Jeopardy!

Alumnus Wins

The American Viola Society announced the winner of the 2022 Maurice Gardner Competition for Composers. First Prize was awarded to Daniel Sabzghabaei (BM '14, Honors College), for “Under This Blue of My Land” for viola and voice to be performed at the 2022 AVS Festival and the 47th International Viola Congress.

El Paso Jazz Girls Turns Five

Founded by University of North Texas alumna, Amanda Eckery (BM ’16, Honors College), El Paso Jazz Girls is recognizing its 5th Anniversary. In an effort to help celebrate, the UNT College of Music recently forwarded nine instruments for their student use.
