Daniel Rodrigues joined the University of North Texas in 2022 as the Woodwind Repair Technician and adjunct professor of the Woodwind Instrument Repair course. Prior to working for UNT Mr. Rodrigues worked for various companies across DFW servicing thousands of instruments a year. In 2021 he started his own company, Madeira Winds, specializing in custom and exotic woodwind accessories.

Mr. Rodrigues began his career as a student worker at the UNT Repair Shop with Ann MacMillan and Justin Cooper while studying music for his undergrad degree.

He is associated with many professional organizations, including the Texas Music Educators Association, the National Association of Professional Band Instrument Repair Technicians and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.

Mr. Rodrigues is a Straubinger certified technician specializing in flute, piccolo and clarinet repair.
