Suzuki Student Institute offers 5 days of musical instruction and training from qualified, registered Suzuki instructors including group and technique classes, masterclasses, and enrichment courses such as eclectic styles, choir, and string orchestra. Students will benefit from learning alongside their peers and from teachers other than their home teachers. Learning from various perspectives and styles at the institute provides a rich, multi-faceted, and inspiring experience for students, parents, and teachers!
A parent/guardian must accompany their student at all times. This includes moving to and from various locations on campus and during meals. If you elect to reside on campus, the student and parent/guardian will share a suite-style room. Families will have the option to sign up for a Half-Suite: one bedroom with a shared bathroom (houses one adult and one child in a shared room; shares a bathroom with another family) or a Full-Suite: two bedrooms with a private bathroom (houses up to four people, at least one adult, two people per room; does not share a bathroom with another family).

Students have the opportunity to participate in up to two elective courses based on their book level at no additional cost. You will select your elective options on the "Education/Background" page of the registration form.
*If housing is selected, a parent/guardian must reside on campus with their student. The Half-Suite housing cost covers two people (parent/guardian and child), and the Full-Suite housing cost covers four people (at least one parent/guardian and up to three children). We are unable to offer a pro-rated cost if fewer than four people choose to reside in Full-Suite housing.
If you plan to have more than one parent/guardian and/or more than one student participate, please email music.camps@unt.edu BEFORE registering to learn more about your housing and meal plan options.
