About the Camp

Discover inspiration and world-class instruction at the UNT Summer Piano Camp! Join us for an unforgettable experience at the UNT Summer Piano camp where you will receive exceptional instruction from concert pianists and esteemed pedagogues. Not only will you refine and elevate your piano skills through hands-on instruction and real-world performance experience, but you will also enhance your resume, setting yourself apart for college admissions and job opportunities all while studying under world-class artists at the prestigious University of North Texas. 

The 2026 camp will feature distinguished concert pianists and teaching artists Adam Wodnicki, Steven Harlos, Oscar Macchioni, Brad Beckman, Liudmila Georgievskaya, and Thomas Schwan. 

The camp is open to middle and high school students (ages 11 and up) as well as college-age students of all skill levels. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced music major, this camp is designed for you! 

Our camp offers daily public masterclasses, private piano lessons, and ensemble lessons focused on the vast four-hand piano repertoire. Whether you bring performance-ready pieces or new works you’ve just begun, you will receive personalized feedback tailored to your current level. You will gain invaluable advice and encouragement and have the opportunity to work in a supportive, friendly environment all while making new friends and connecting with fellow musicians.  

In addition to lessons, you will participate in workshops, discussions, and lectures on the essential topics of technique, memorization, and more. You will also hear our distinguished faculty perform for you! All participants will have the opportunity to study privately and perform publicly. Public performances will take place in the beautiful UNT concert halls. 

All participants will perform in a recital featuring solo repertoire as well as ensemble pieces. Friends and family are invited to attend! 

With dedicated practice spaces available for all participants, housing and meal packages are included for added convenience. The camp will conclude with the solo student recital on Saturday evening and ensemble student recital on Sunday morning.* 

*The camp will conclude by 12:00pm on Sunday. 

Tuition & Fees
  • Overnight Camper - $820 which includes:
    • Registration fee
    • Tuition including camp gift & welcome package
    • Housing
    • Three meals per day (Wednesday lunch-Sunday breakfast)
    • Parking
  • Day Camper - $555 which includes:
    • Registration fee
    • Tuition including camp gift & welcome package
    • Lunch & dinner daily (Wednesday-Saturday)
    • Parking
  • Overnight campers will check into the residence hall on Wednesday, June 3 and will depart on Sunday, June 7. Camp will end no later than 12:00pm on the last day.
  • Overnight campers have the option to arrive on Tuesday, June 2 and/or depart on Monday, June 8 due to travel needs for an additional fee of $100 per night.
  • Overnight campers must provide their own bedding (extra-long twin size), pillows, towels, and toiletries.
  • Day campers will arrive at 10:30am on Wednesday, June 3 for camp registration. Camp will end no later than 12:00pm on the last day.

Registration Deadline

Registration Policy

  • Payment is due in full at the time of registration.
  • We are unable to provide partial refunds for unused services including meals and parking.
  • Participation must be 11 years of age by the first day of camp to participate.
  • Enrollment is limited to 30 participants.
Refund Policy
  • Requested by May 1, 2026 – Full refund less $130 administrative fee 
  • Requested by May 15, 2026 – Full refund less $230 administrative fee
  • We are unable to provide partial refunds for unused services including meals and parking. 
    • We are unable to process refunds requested after May 15, 2026.
    • No refunds will be provided should a participant be dismissed for violating UNT policy or program rules provided on the first day.

Thursday-Friday

  • 8:00am - Breakfast (overnight campers only)

  • 12:00pm - Lunch
  • 1:00pm - Lessons/Masterclasses/Clinics
  • 6:00pm - Dinner
  • 7:00pm - Evening Activities/Practice
  • 8:30pm - Return to Residence Hall (overnight campers) / Dismissal (day campers)

Saturday

  • 8:00am - Breakfast (overnight campers only)
  • 9:00am - Lessons/Masterclasses/Clinics
  • 12:00pm - Lunch
  • 1:00pm - Lessons/Masterclasses/Clinics/Dress Rehearsals
  • 6:00pm - Dinner
  • 7:00pm - Student Solo Recital
  • 8:30pm - Return to Residence Hall (overnight campers) / Dismissal (day campers)

Sunday, June 8

  • 8:00am - Breakfast (overnight campers only)
  • 9:00am - Practice & Dress Rehearsals
  • 10:30am - Student Ensemble Recital
  • 12:00pm - Camp Concludes & Residence Hall Check Out
