The UNT Brass area provides instruction for the complete spectrum of brass study with full-time faculty
specialists in trumpet, horn, trombone, euphonium and tuba. Our brass faculty serve
as expert mentors, sharing decades of combined experience as soloists, chamber performers,
orchestral musicians, and beyond.
While pursuing performance degrees at the Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral levels,
students gain a comprehensive understanding of their art through private instruction,
departmental and studio classes.
The UNT Chamber Music program offers brass students a chance to collaborate in small ensembles with virtually
any instrumentation, receiving personalized coaching while engaging in performances
and recording projects. Additional opportunities for ensemble skill development are
available through the renowned UNT Wind Studies and UNT Orchestral ensembles, our contemporary ensemble, NOVA, and our Early Music ensembles--giving
our students the chance to perform new and standard works that stretch their abilities
in our state-of-the-art Murchison Performing Arts Center. giving students the chance

UNT Brass instills standards of professional conduct and performance. Our alumni can
be found in prestigious positions around the world as soloists, educators, chamber
musicians, orchestral musicians, and administrative leaders of the music industry.
