Summer Band Camp officially begins in the afternoon of August 8. We will welcome all our potential members to Winspear Hall in the Murchison Performing Arts Center at 3pm, followed by a full ensemble rehearsal/auditions in the evening. Some sections start earlier; see below to confirm the start date for your section.
Attention DCI Participants: Please note that this year, DCI Finals overlaps with the start of GB Summer Band Camp. If you are one of the dozens of Green Brigade members who march DCI each summer, please email greenbrigade@unt.edu with your name, instrument, and anticipated date of arrival at camp to ensure we save a marching spot for you. DCI members should plan to report to Summer Band Camp by Sunday, August 10 or Monday, August 11.
Move-In Dates for Summer Band 2025
Leadership (including appointed committee members, freshman and up):
Move in August 5, sessions on August 6–7.
Color Guard (all):
Move in August 7, callback auditions occur August 8–9. *Auditions will be ongoing until members doing DCI return on August 10.
Percussion (all):
Move in August 9, prepare equipment the evening of August 9, percussion meeting and preparations afternoon of August 10.
Woodwinds/Brass (new members):
Move in August 7, equipment check out the evening of August 7, activity beginning August 8.
Woodwinds/Brass (returning):
Move in by August 8, activity beginning the afternoon of August 8.
