We are pleased to announce that Ray Cramer, Director of Bands Emeritus and Professor of Music at the Jacobs School of Music – Indiana University, will serve as conductor of the 2026 CBDNA–SW Intercollegiate Honor Band!

NOMINATIONS ARE NOW OPEN: To nominate a student, please complete the following “Director Nomination Form” for each student. Before nominating them, please confirm they are interested, available, and committed to participating in all 2026 CBDNA Southwestern Division Intercollegiate Honor Band events, listed below.

This ensemble will rehearse and perform as part of our CBDNA Southwestern Division Conference from Wednesday, February 25–Saturday, February 28, 2026 with a culminating concert at 12:00 PM on Saturday, February 28 in Winspear Hall at the Murchison Performing Arts Center.

Please consider nominating your students for this special experience at our conference. Below is an outline of important dates throughout this year's nomination and acceptance process:

Tuesday, October 28, 2025 – Nominations Open
Monday, November 24, 2025 – Nominations Close
Friday, December 5, 2025 – Directors and Students are Notified of Acceptance. Audition Excerpts Available.*
Tuesday, January 20, 2026 – Audition Excerpts and $100 Per Student Fee Due
• The process for collecting excerpts and payment will be communicated in a future email.

Week of February 9, 2026 – Notification of Chair Placements, Part Assignments, and Distribution of Music
Wednesday, February 25–Friday, February 27, 2026 – Rehearsals with Professor Cramer at the Division Conference
Saturday, February 28, 2026 – Concert at 12:00 PM
