Meet Our Faculty

Dr. Bokyung Byun joins us as Assistant Professor of Guitar. A recipient of the 2023 Avery Fisher Career Grant, she is widely recognized as one of the most sought-after guitarists of her generation. Dr. Byun made history as the first female winner of the JoAnn Falletta International Guitar Concerto Competition and has earned numerous other accolades, including first prize at the 2021 Guitar Foundation of America International Concert Artist Competition. Student Community & Guest Artists

The Mean Green Guitar Guild (MGGG), our dedicated student organization, hosts internationally recognized guest artists and masterclasses. Recent guests include Marko Topchii, SoloDuo, and Rene Izquierdo. MGGG also supports student travel to conferences and national competitions.
