John W. Richmond, Ph.D., Professor and Dean of the College of Music, announced that Professor Andrew Trachsel will become the UNT College of Music Director of Wind Studies. Dr. Trachsel is a graduate of Drake University and holds Master of Music (’05) and Doctor of Musical Arts (’07) degrees from UNT. He will assume his duties effective Fall 2026. This appointment follows the retirement announcement by long-time Wind Studies director and Regents Professor, Eugene Migliaro Corporon.
