Rebecca Geoffroy-Schwinden, Associate Professor of Music History, gave invited lecture
in the Cal Berkeley Music Studies Colloquium entitled, "From Property to Possession:
Consumer Practice & 'Unsociable' Music in the Age of Revolutions," which comes from
her current National Endowment for the Humanities funded research about colliding
consumer and political revolutions in women's musical lives from the mid-eighteenth
to mid-nineteenth centuries.
