Clay Couturiaux, UNT's assistant director of orchestral studies announced the winners of the 2025 William Gammon Henry Concerto Competition. Zhaohan Wang, piano, has been named first prize winner and will perform with the Mansfield (TX) Philharmonic as one of their guest artists during the 2026-2027 season. Julia Jiho Choi, cello, is the second prize winner and will perform with El Paso Pro-Musica as one of their guest artists during their 2026-2027 season.

In addition to Wang and Choi, other grand prize winners who will perform with the UNT Concert Orchestra are: Christopher Gray, bass-baritone; Anthony Coito, bassoon, Benjamin Carroll, horn; I-Hsuan (Grace) Tsai, marimba; Haolun Zhang, countertenor and Stoney Shelton, clarinet.
