Erika Soveranes, a teaching fellow in the UNT Division of Music History, Theory and Ethnomusicology has published a fully Spanish chapter in the collaborative book “LLa Mujer en el Mariachi” through FUNDAp (Fundación Universitaria de Derecho, Administración, y Política) in Querétaro, México. Her chapter (VI.) is entitled EXPRESIONES DE IDENTIDAD DE GÉNERO: TRASCENDIENDO LA ACLAMACIÓN DE LOS ASPECTOS MASCULINOS DE LA MUSICALIDAD FEMENINA EN MARIACHI.
