Flutist Allyson Kreider has been selected as the 2025 Presser Foundation Graduate Music Awardee. This honor is designed “to encourage and support in a special way the advanced education and career of truly exceptional graduate music students who have the potential to make a distinguished contribution to the field of music.” Her proposal was titled, “The Expansion of New Music for Woodwind Quintet: A Commission by Jeffrey Mumford.” Composer Mumford will be writing a piece to be premiered by the UNT Center Woodwind Quintet."
