The American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) announced that its new President Elect designate will be UNT College of Music Professor of Music Education, Jessica Nápoles. She will serve as President Elect designate, then 2 years as President Elect, 2 years as President then will complete her 8 year commitment with 2 years as Past President. John Richmond, Professor and Dean of the College of Music said, “I could not be more delighted to learn of Jessica Nápoles’ election as President of ACDA. That said, I am not at all surprised. Dr. Nápoles is an internationally recognized leader in choral music education, choral conducting, and artistic innovation. We are so fortunate to have her on our faculty and look forward to the important leadership she will provide to our profession as ACDA President.”
