AUDITIONING FOR JAZZ STUDIES?
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTER I AUDITION?
Letters of audition outcome (acceptance/non-acceptance) are mailed a few weeks after the audition. If you do not receive a Letter of Acceptance from the College of Music, you are not accepted for a music degree program, regardless of the wording of any other letters of acceptance from UNT . Courses taken for credit in this situation may not apply to a UNT degree in music. The letter will indicate what category of applied lessons you will be able to register for.
We offer three categories of applied lessons: MUAS (applied secondary study - elective and non-degree only), MUAC (applied concentration - required for all music degrees other than Performance) and MUAM (applied major - required for all degrees in Performance).
Scholarship notification letters (emails) are sent during the month of April. You must reply to the offer notice in order for the scholarship to be finalized in your behalf.
