Merrill Ellis Intermedia Theater

The Merrill Ellis Intermedia Theater (MEIT) is CEMI's primary performance venue. MEIT features a custom computer-controlled 16.1 audio diffusion system, 270-degree wraparound video projection screens, and a full stage lighting system controllable via DMX, MIDI, or Ethernet link. A dedicated performance computer features a comprehensive suite of software and 16-channel audio output.
CEMI’s six project studios include four 8.1 environments, each optimized for a different purpose (video production, audio production/teaching, interactive computer music production/rehearsal, and interdisciplinary general access) and two 2.1 studios (one dedicated to sample recording in its isolation booth).
More information on CEMI facilities, including detailed lists of available software and hardware, can be found at cemi.music.unt.edu/what.html.
