The Bradetich Master Classes is one of the longest running events of its kind in the U.S. These classes offer a highly concentrated week of study for aspiring bassists. Participants, who come from five continents as well as all corners of the U.S., receive optimum individual and group instruction in all aspects of double bass playing. Former students hold orchestra and teaching positions throughout the world. The classes include daily two-hour sessions dealing with technique, orchestral repertoire, and the interpretation of solo literature. In addition, bass ensembles are rehearsed throughout the week. All full participants will have the opportunity to perform with piano accompaniment and will be videotaped during the solo classes. The master classes end with a grand finale concert featuring ensemble performances by the participants. These unique master classes are open to well-qualified high school and college students and young professionals. Also welcome are string teachers and older individuals who seek to rejuvenate their love and knowledge of the double bass.
