Sarah Trachsel is a pianist, and also studied euphonium and voice at the University of Florida. She has more than a decade of experience in administrative positions and is thrilled to bring her expertise to the College of Music. She spent the last five years in the nonprofit world, and continues to volunteer in her free time, helping to run the Denton chapter of a nonprofit that focuses on childhood food insecurity. 

Sarah is an active advocate for public schools, serving on booster clubs, volunteering with the middle school theater department, and is a passionate supporter of testing reform and equity in education. She lives in Denton with her husband, Che’, their four children, two dogs and four cats.
