Melissa Minick has worked full time at the University of North Texas since 2016. Prior to starting with the College of Music, she worked as an academic counselor for the TAMS program for two and a half years and as a developmental education coordinator with the Learning Center for three. Melissa received her master’s degree in higher education from UNT in 2014 and her bachelor’s degree in English from Texas State University in 2011. Outside of higher education, Melissa served as a corps member of Teach for America for two years and is currently a licensed 7-12 English educator for the State of Texas. Music was always a large part of Melissa’s life growing up and she is looking forward to helping the next generation of musicians earn their degrees.
