Ermir Bejo holds a doctoral degree in music composition from UNT, having graduated in 2017. He has over 12 years of experience in audio engineering and production, including as front-of-house engineer and sound designer for national and international music festivals and multimedia venues. He brings technical experience to the position with his extensive work in UNT’s Center for Electronic Music and Intermedia (CEMI), his work teaching audio technologies at the Art Institute of Dallas and as current executive director of the music resource Score Follower. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Skidmore and a master's from the University of Louisville.

Degrees from University of North Texas (PhD, 2017), University of Louisville (MM, 2013), Skidmore College (BA, 2010). Composition studies with Joseph Klein, Panayiotis Kokoras, Andrew May, Marc Satterwhite, and Krzysztof Wołek. Additional lessons and masterclasses with Salvatore Sciarrino, James Dillon, Chaya Czernowin, and Esa-Pekka Salonen. Interests in contemporary classical music, computer-assisted composition, audio engineering, music curation, archiving, and entrepreneurship. UNT appointment: 2022.
