Features Of Our Program
ISMI offers a truly unique experience including private lessons tailored to the individual needs of each student. In addition to lessons, chamber music and orchestra provide a platform for students to hone communication skills and gain high-level performance experience. ISMI is open to pre-college and university-aged students with age and level-appropriate instruction. Cost-effective tuition, housing, and meals make our institute an affordable option, and limited financial aid is available. All events are on UNT campus and within a five-minute walk to the dormitories and cafeterias.

Join us for a truly wonderful musical experience on the UNT campus!

PLACEMENT VIDEOS

There is no audition required for acceptance into the program. Instead, to evaluate your skills on your instrument and place you appropriately into a chamber group and/or orchestra, you will be asked to upload two videos of you playing before submitting the application. Each must include audio and video and should be no longer than five minutes. Placement video requirements for each instrument can be found here https://ismi.music.unt.edu/audition.
