Justin Cooper joined the staff at the University of North Texas in 2010 where he serves as the brass instrument repair technician and adjunct professor for brass instrument repair. Prior to working at UNT, Mr. Cooper was co-owner/operator of C & C Band Instrument Repair and worked as an educational representative for Saied Music Company, servicing school districts in southeast Oklahoma and north Texas.
A native of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, Tony Barrette is active repairing musical instruments in the DFW area. Tony holds his MM in saxophone performance from the University of North Texas. While at UNT, Tony enrolled in the instrument repair classes, apprenticed, and worked at the UNT repair shop as a part time employee. After finishing his MM, Tony moved to Okemos, Michigan to work as a saxophone specialist and woodwind repair technician at Meridian Winds.
Ann MacMillan holds a bachelor's of music education degree from Emporia State University and a master's of music education degree from the University of North Texas. In 1982 MacMillan began repairing musical instruments at Foster Music Company in Garden City, Kansas. She then studied instrument repair with Kim Rawlings and Bob Staley; and worked at Brook Mays Music Company in Dallas, Texas for eight years. MacMillan joined the College of Music as an adjunct professor of instrument repair in 1997.
