John W. Richmond

John W. Richmond was appointed tenured Professor and Dean of the College of Music at the University of North Texas on August 1, 2016. He began his second, five-year term as Dean on August 1, 2021. Previously, Richmond served as Professor and Director of the Glenn Korff School of Music at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL; 2003-2016) and as Professor and in various administrative appointments in the School of Music at the University of South Florida-Tampa (USF; 1987-2003).

Don Taylor

Don Taylor teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in music education at the University of North Texas. Currently serving as the Coordinator of PhD Studies, his primary area of instruction is elementary general music, and his research focuses on social justice in music education. Prior to receiving a PhD in Music Education from the University of Texas at Austin, he taught elementary music for nine years in San Antonio, Texas.

Debbie Rohwer

Debbie Rohwer is Regents Professor of Music Education and serves as Vice President for Planning for the university. Dr. Rohwer received her bachelor’s degree at Northwestern University, her master’s degree at the Eastman School of Music, and her Ph.D. degree at the Ohio State University. In 1997, Dr. Rohwer founded the Denton New Horizons Senior Citizen Beginning Band where she currently serves as conductor, administrator and arranger. In her research, Dr.

Warren Henry

Warren Henry is Professor of Music Education and serves as Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. Dr. Henry received his bachelor's and master's degrees in music education from the Crane School of Music (Potsdam, NY) and his Ph.D. in music education from Michigan State University. He is an active clinician and researcher, and he has presented many sessions at national and international conferences. In 2009, Dr. Henry was named the Outstanding Alumnus of Michigan State University’s College of Music.
