Daryl Coad

Daryl Coad is an active performer and teacher in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. Formerly a member of the Rochester Philharmonic and New Orleans Symphony, he has also performed with the Chicago Symphony, Milwaukee Symphony, Hong Kong Philharmonic and Dallas Chamber Orchestra. He has been on the faculties of the Brevard Music Center and University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where he also served as music director for the University Symphony Orchestra.

Mary Karen Clardy

Mary Karen Clardy, Regents Professor of Flute at the University of North Texas, appears as soloist and chamber artist throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Britain, Europe, Asia and South America, with numerous performances for the National Flute Association and the British Flute Society.

Kris Chesky

Kris Chesky is on leave through Spring 2024. 

His career as a music professional includes accomplishments as a performer, educator, researcher, inventor, and leader in performing arts medicine.

Julia Bushkova

Julia Bushkova has appeared as a soloist with numerous orchestras and in recital throughout the United States, in her native Russia, as well as Germany, Italy, Canada, United Kingdom, Poland, South Africa, Mexico, Chile, and Venezuela. She has been a featured performer on numerous public and commercial radio and TV stations as well as nationwide on NPR's "Performance Today." Her most recent solo and concerti performances took her to New York, North Carolina, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Michigan, Canada, Italy, Venezuela, South Africa, Argentina, and Belarus.

Jeff Bradetich

Proclaimed by the New York Times as "the master of his instrument," Jeff Bradetich is regarded as one of the leading performers and teachers of the double bass in the United States today. Since his New York debut in Carnegie Recital Hall in 1982 he has performed more than 600 concerts on five continents including his London debut in Wigmore Hall in 1986.

Tony Baker

Considered one of the finest trombonists of his generation, Tony Baker is currently a faculty member at the University of North Texas College of Music. Previously, Mr. Baker served as assistant professor of trombone at Ohio University and as visiting assistant professor of trombone and euphonium at Kent State University. A native of Little Rock, Arkansas, he is an alumnus of the University of Minnesota and the University of Central Arkansas. Mr. Baker's professional experience is as varied as it is substantial.

José M. Aponte

Drumset artist, percussionist and educator José Aponte has performed throughout his career with artists such as Batacumbele, Carlos Guedes, Poncho Sánchez, Gino Vanelli, Brian Bromberg, Lyle Mays, Andy Narell, David Rudder, Fred Hamilton, Dan Haerle, Tracy Thorton, Lian Teague, Airto Moreira, Manuel Valera, Michael Spiro, Nestor Torres and Kurt Elling.

Gideon F. Alorwoyie

Gideon Alorwoyie is professor of music, principal dancer/choreographer and director of the UNT African Percussion Ensemble. He joined the College of Music faculty in 1996.

He is the high priest of the Yewe Voodoo Cult.

Alorwoyie is from Anlo-Afiadenyigba in the Volta Region of Ghana, West Africa and is highly regarded as one of Ghana's foremost virtuosos of traditional music and dance.

Adam Gordon

Adam Gordon is a former long-time member of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. Previously, he was principal trumpet of the Sacramento Symphony, Opera San Jose, the Monterey County Symphony, and the Cabrillo Festival Orchestra. Gordon has performed with the San Francisco Symphony, Opera, and Ballet orchestras. Overseas, he has performed with the Jerusalem Symphony and the National Orchestra of Mexico.
