About
UNT String Project is an accessible community music program that offers string instrument instruction (violin, viola, cello, and double bass) for students as young as 5 years and continuing through adulthood. The UNT String Project offers a variety of classes, ranging from the beginning foundations for successful string playing to ensembles that support and supplement school orchestra instruction as our students continue to develop their musicianship.
As a member of the National String Project Consortium, the UNT String Project is dedicated to the dual mission of preparing tomorrow's string educators while providing accessible string instruction opportunities for youth and adults. We are committed to cultivating new generations of highly qualified string instrument music educators and ensuring vibrant and culturally diverse string instrument education opportunities for students of all ages.
