Meghan Miller
Meghan Miller holds a Bachelor's of Music in Music Education from the University of
North Texas. She taught general music and choir at E. P. Rayzor Elementary in Denton
for three years, during which time she had the privilege of teaching over 1,000 students. Meghan has
continued to teach or accompany part-time while staying home with her three children.
Some of her part-time work has included teaching high school choir at Denton Calvary
Academy, as well as assisting and accompanying the choirs at Denton Calvary Academy
and teaching private piano and voice lessons. She loves the way music brings joy to
students and strives to make each musical experience meaningful. Students and parents
can look forward to exploring music through singing, movement, games and more in an
exciting learning environment.
Ashley Westgate
Ashley Westgate is a music educator, vocalist, and percussionist who currently resides
in Flower Mound with her husband Paul and two boys: Jason (6) and Justin (2). She
graduated from the University of North Texas summa cum laude with Bachelor of Music
and Master of Music in Music Education degrees, specializing in voice and percussion.
She worked with the Early Childhood Music program for many years during her time
at UNT.
Mrs. Westgate has taught choir at various high schools in the Dallas area, and she
has also worked with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra Christmas Celebration Children's
Chorus. Ashley was honored to serve as a contributing author on Voices in Concert,
a choral textbook, and enjoys her current position as a music specialist for McGraw-Hill
Education. In addition, she continues to work as a music leader and children's choir
director at Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church in Dallas. Ashley has recorded
with the Turtle Creek Chorale and plays piano and drums/percussion for local organizations
and theaters around DFW including Lyric Stage. She currently serves as an adjudicator,
clinician, and musician while maintaining her memberships in TMEA and TMAA.
