UNIVERSITY OF NORTH TEXAS - Doctoral Assistantship in Music Entrepreneurship. Starts in Fall semester of 2017. A new doctoral assistant line has been established for new applicants to any DMA or Ph.D. degree in music at the University of North Texas College of Music. Responsibilities: Assist in the development and offering of undergraduate career-development and music entrepreneurship courses for music majors. Assist the Director of Career Development and Entrepreneurship in Music in growth initiatives and program development efforts including assistance with existing internship programs, a music entrepreneurship competition, regularly held workshops, and other duties as assigned. If accepted for admission at UNT, the successful candidate will also be able to declare his/her related field in music entrepreneurship. Award: Assistantship package includes stipend and partial tuition scholarship. Qualifications: admission to any DMA or Ph.D. degree in Music; strong research, writing, and computer proficiency skills; teaching experience at the undergraduate level is highly desirable. Candidates with demonstrated experience launching a music-related venture—either non-profit or for-profit—will be preferred.
