Ian Cicco is Visiting Lecturer in Music Education. Ian Cicco is completing his PhD in music education with a minor in voice performance at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. He earned his BME in music education at West Virginia University and his MM in music education at Boston University. Previously, he taught in P-12 schools in Southwest Florida with an emphasis in elementary general music. Ian is certified in Orff Schulwerk and has completed Kodály Level I and World Music Drumming Level I. He has presented papers and research at the American Educational Research Association (AERA), the Symposium on Music Teacher Education (SMTE), the Mountain Lake Colloquium, the Visions of Research in Music Education Conference, the Big Ten Academic Alliance (BTAA) for Music Education, and the Oxford Symposium on the History of Music Education. He has also presented several practitioner sessions at the Indiana Music Educators Association (IMEA) Professional Development Conference. His research has been published in the Journal of Historical Research in Music Education, the Visions of Research in Music Education, and The Orff Echo.
