Robert Schwartz is a conducting student of Eugene Migliaro Corporon and a Masters Conducting Associate in the Wind Studies area at the University of North Texas.  At UNT he assists with all aspects of the Wind Studies area.  In addition, Mr. Schwartz serves as an assistant conductor of the Lone Star Wind Orchestra. Prior to his arrival at UNT, Mr. Schwartz served as a director in the Center Area School District in Pennsylvania on both the middle and high school levels.  He holds the bachelor of music degree in music education from Duquesne University.  While at Duquesne University, Mr. Schwartz served as guest conductor for university bands, as well as served as director of the Beaver “Bop Cat” Alumni Band. His former teachers include Dr. Robert Cameron and Donald McKinney.  Mr. Schwartz is a contributing author in the seventh volume of the GIA series Teaching Music Through Performance in Band.
