Important Information for Trumpet Majors
Locker and Key Rentals:
Keys to rooms in the
North and South Practice Buildings as well as lockers in those buildings
and the main music building will be available for checkout at the
beginning of the semester. All Lockers and keys are now checked
out online using the
online
reservation system. Contact
Rebeca
Galindo at rgalindo@music.unt.edu
for more information. Ms. Galindo's office is across from the Wind
Studies Call Board in the main music building.
Room and Concert Scheduling:
Room/hall reservations for rehearsals and performances are secured through
the concert scheduling office. Contact Laura Chester
in the concert
scheduling office (Room 242) for further information.
Juries:
Juries are held during dead week of each semester. Jury sign-up
sheets will be posted two weeks before juries begin. Secure your
accompanist several weeks before juries.
The North Texas Trumpet Exchange:
Have an instrument you would like to buy or sell? Visit the North
Texas Trumpet Exchange.
ITG Membership:
All students are encouraged to join the International Trumpet Guild. Membership is $25 as a
student and along with the the quarterly journal filled with news,
pedagogical concepts, and histories, among the many articles, members
receive a recording by a respected trumpeter along with special ITG
publications and sheet music.
Live Groups:
One of the benefits of studying in the Metroplex is the numerous
opportunities to hear live music by top professional
musicians.
