Leon Brown Trombone Day 2008

LBTD Guest Artist Tom Brantley

The 10th Annual Leon Brown Trombone Day will take place on Saturday, March 29 here at the College of Music Concert Hall. High school trombonists from the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex and beyond will have the opportunity to attend master classes and concerts, visit exhibits and perform in the Leon Brown Trombone Day Honors Trombone Choir.

We are fortunate enough to have Tom Brantley as our guest artist this year. Tom is the trombone professor at the University of South Florida and is the trombonist for the multi-genre ensemble Rhythm and Brass. He is also a UNT and One O’Clock Lab Band alumnus. In addition, he is an accomplished classical as well as jazz performer and teacher.

Admission to this event is $10.00 for the entire day, which is payable upon arrival. This promises to be a very special event for UNT and for the Dallas/Ft. Worth trombone community. If you have any questions, please contact Tony Baker or Vern Kagarice. We hope to see you there!
