UNT Opera: Smetana’s Prodana nevesta

Join us Fridays, February 26 and March 5 at 8pm and Sundays, February 28 and March 7 at 3pm for Smetana’s most cherished work, The Bartered Bride. All performances are sung in Czech with English supertitles and will be in the Lyric Theater in Murchison Performing Arts Center. Composer Libby Larsen in Residence

Guest composer Libby Larsen will be in residence at the College of Music February 8th – 10th 2010. She will be offering masterclasses and giving lectures about her works and the compositional process. Check the College of Music calendar for exact times and locations.

Haiti Earthquake Relief Events at MPAC

All February events at the Murchison Performing Arts Center will support earthquake relief for Haiti. Donations will be collected at the Murchison Performing Arts Center. Check the calendar for more information about dates, times and ticket prices.

 

In Observance of Black History Month the College of Music offers the following events:

  • Guest artist Darryl Taylor, countertenor, with Elvia Puccinelli, piano will present a recital titled "African American Composers: Out of the Margins” in the College of Music Recital Hall on February 8 at 8pm.
