One opportunity that is unique to the UNT percussion department
is the
Percussion Club. It is a student run organization that sponsors
clinicians to visit and perform at Friday departmentals. Students who wish
to join pay a fee for the semester, and are admitted to all clinics. Each
percussion student is expected to be a member. You are not required to
be a percussion major to join, and all clinics are open to the public.
Because of the large size of the department and popularity of the clinics,
the department is able to host some of the world's finest percussionists
every semester.
