Bonus Workshop

The Organ Program of the University of North Texas College of Music is proud to work closely with Sheila Paige, Director of the Piano Wellness Seminar. Ms. Paige regularly teaches in the Dallas area, and many students from the University of North Texas consult with her. She will be available for two hours on both Tuesday and Wednesday, October 21 and 22, for small group lessons. Ms. Paige has developed and refined a line of keyboard technique stemming from German and French nineteenth-century practices first identified by Deppe in 1885, and expanded in the next generations by Caland, Townsend, Baudmann, Selva, Bosquet, Jaëll, Breithaupt, and in this country by Dorothy Taubman. Although these techniques are extremely helpful to those having physical difficulties in the hands, Ms. Paige’s work brings extreme technical facility, ease, and poise to even the most virtuosic and refined players. Registrants for her classes will make payment directly to her, but must reserve their times in advance by checking the appropriate place(s) on the registration form.

Schedule: Tuesday and Wednesday: 5 – 7 pm, Green Room,
Murchison Performing Arts Center.
