Double Bass Showcase: Jeffrey Bradetich and Gudrun Raschen, coordinators

The UNT Double Bass Showcase Concert will feature undergraduates and graduate students from the classical and jazz bass studios of Jeff Bradetich, Gundrun Raschen and Lynn Seaton.  Solos, small ensembles and group orchestra excerpts will be featured including Brahms, Bottesini, Shostakovich, Piazzolla, Andres Martin and jazz works.

Free admission.

Free parking spaces will be available in Lot 26 (Highland Street, between Bain Hall and Music Practice South) for patrons attending performances at the College of Music on weekends and after 5:00pm on weekdays.

Guest Artist Master Class: Roy Howat, Collaborative Piano

Roy Howat is internationally renowned as both pianist and scholar whose concerts, broadcasts and lectures regularly take him worldwide.  A graduate of King’s College, Cambridge, he made a special study of French music in Paris with Vlado Perlemuter, and is one of few British artists repeatedly invited to teach and play French music at major French-speaking Conservatoires and on French radio.  He is specially known for his lively lectures and masterclasses, which he has given worldwide at venues including the USA’s Juilliard and Eastman Schools.  In a
