“I believe the goal of education is to create lifelong learners: to enable and equip students to be self motivated and pursue knowledge based upon their insatiable desire to learn. My experience in the Music Education department at the University of North Texas has facilitated this desire. I believe the professors at UNT have found the perfect balance by guiding and mentoring students’ interests, while challenging us to think critically and philosophically. My experience has not only made me a better music educator, but an intuitive thinker, well rounded researcher and scholar. Upon graduation, I believe I will be well equipped to become a collegiate professor because of my experience at UNT.”
