Music & Lifelong Learning Conference

The 2009 Music and Lifelong Learning Conference will be held in Denton, Texas, October 21-24.

The conference is sponsored jointly by the Adult and Community Music Education Special Research Interest Group and the North American Coalition for Community Music and will be held on the University of North Texas campus, beginning with an opening reception on the evening of October 21st, and ending at noon on October 24th.

The conference welcomes submissions from researchers, teachers, and musicians on topics relevant to music, the community, and music learning across the lifespan. Teacher/practitioner sessions will be held, as well as research sessions and performances. Presentation topic proposals should be submitted in a narrative document of no more than 500 words, summarizing the main points to be covered in the presentation.

DEADLINE: The submission deadline is June 1, and notifications will be delivered by June 15.
