Area of Expertise:
String Music Education

Mr. Johnson currently teaches string education classes and supervises string instrumental student teachers. As a conductor of All-State and All-Region Orchestras, violist, educator, clinician and adjudicator, Johnson is highly respected throughout the United States. He launched The String Project at the University of North Texas in August 2000. This program currently offers 16 classes taught by undergraduate string education students to second through eighth grade students. Children pay $50 per semester to enroll in the String Project classes, all of which are held on campus.
