Student trip to Germany/Austria
MUGC 5890-001, 3 Credit Hours, Dr. Frank Heidlberger Summer 2007 (3WK-1, approx. May 15 through June 2)
* Open to students in all fields of music (Performance, Education, Composition, Theory, Musicology). Both Graduate and Undergraduate students are welcome.
* Students from other fields (German language, Cultural Studies, History…) are welcome to participate.
Historical Downtown Wuerzburg
Our activities:
* Visit classes, presentations and performances at the University/College of Music in Würzburg (Northern Bavaria)
* Meet with German and international students and scholars at different music institutions, museums, libraries
* Tour the beautiful areas of Frankonia, Thuringia and Bavaria with their treasures of history and art
* Experience major cultural centers such as Munich, Nürnberg, Frankfurt, Salzburg (Austria).
* Attend opera and concert performances
* Practice your German (German language skills are not required)
2004 Participants
* Costs: $2200 (insurance, international and domestic travel, hotels with breakfast, entrance fees). Scholarship for tuition is available through The Study Abroad Center.
