Megan Heber is director of communications, marketing and public relations for the University of North Texas College of Music where she oversees all publicity and promotional materials for one of the largest and most respected comprehensive music schools in the world. Prior to her current position, Megan worked as the event coordinator at the Murchison Performing Arts Center.
Megan was one of thirty participants from around the world selected for the 2016 League of American Orchestras Essentials of Orchestra Management seminar. She also is a member of the Dallas Business Council for the Arts Leadership Arts Institute.
From 2008-2013 Megan was a clarinetist in the Navy Music Program and was stationed in Virginia, Hawaii and Louisiana. She performed in the woodwind quintet, wind symphony and ceremonial band and was a recipient of the Pacific Fleet Command Sailor of the Quarter.
Megan is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota, an international fraternity for women, and was the 2008 National Collegiate Leadership Award Winner.
Megan is a native of Oak Ridge, New Jersey, and received a BM in Music Education and a BA in Education from Rowan University as well as a BS in Organizational Leadership from Thomas Edison State College. She is currently pursuing an MA in Arts Administration and an MBA from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX.
