A native of China, pianist Miaomiao Wang launched her career in opera as the head coach of the Beijing Opera Center in season 2005 and has since served as rehearsal pianist and assistant coach for The Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University, New England Conservatory and Boston University Opera Institute. Dr. Wang is an alumna of the San Francisco Merola Opera program and received her doctor of musical arts degree from the Boston University.
Jonathan Eaton has served as Artistic and General Director of Pittsburgh Festival Opera (formerly Opera Theater of Pittsburgh) since 1999, and has led the company in presenting varied and unusual repertoire as well as reimagined classics.
Stephen Dubberly, Associate Professor in the Division of Conducting and Ensembles, serves as music director of UNT Opera and teaches courses in opera repertoire. He is also associate conductor and chorus master for Fort Worth Opera and music director of Opera in Concert.
