UNT Clarinet Home

Robert Polan from the Rico Reed company will be on campus to present a masterclass on clarinet and saxophone reeds and the manufacturing process on Tuesday, Feb. 9th at 4:30 in the Recital Hall. The hour-long presentation will also include product samples from the company (i.e., free reeds!!).

There will be no studio class on Feb. 12th due to conflicts with TMEA.

UNT Clarinet Studio:

Weekly on Fridays 1:00-1:50pm
Music Building Room 232 (orchestra rehearsal room)
Attendance required of all Undergraduate and Graduate Majors and Concentrations in Clarinet

If you would like to perform in a studio class (with your teacher's approval), e-mail Rachel at RachelYoder@gmail.com to be added to the schedule. Requests to perform must be received by Wednesday before the Friday on which you wish to perform. Studio performance spots are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis, and if you need to perform earlier or later in the hour due to accompanist or other conflicts, please specify your needs in the e-mail.

International Clarinet Association

All UNT clarinet students are encouraged to become members of the International Clarinet Association. Membership is only $25 and includes a subscription to The Clarinet (edited by UNT's own Dr. James Gillespie). Visit the ICA website for more information.
