2011 Degree Plans

To view the required courses for each Bachelor of Music degree click on the title of the degree below. You will see a complete listing of classes in the right hand column of the page. The courses are broken into categories - for example the core classes are under English, Communications, Social Science, etc. The classes you will take to meet those requirements are in the box on the right side of the page. Again looking at English the courses are ENGL 1310(3) and ENGL 1320(3). The numbers in parenthesis are the credit hours earned for the class.

If you have a choice among classes for a particular category (for example: Humanities) the right side lists "1 course from group below" and the second page of the degree plan shows the possible class choices. The schedule of classes also shows the possibilities for these categories and tells which classes are offered that semester.

If a class is listed with a specific number, as in PSCI 1040 (3) you are to take that course, or it's equivalent at another university. You do not have a choice in classes except for those that say "choose from the following options".

Once you are a student here at UNT we will update your degree plan every year showing the courses you have completed on the left side and those still needed for graduation on the right. You will get a copy of this update and can use it in planning your next semesters' classes. If you are transferring you can go to http://www.essc.unt.edu/registrar/articulation.index for a list of other Texas schools and the courses equivalent to ones here.
