Are you in college now and curious about the requirements for becoming a major or minor in Music at UNT? Then, attend the MAJOR/minor Workshop
Who should attend?
- Any student currently in college (UNT or other) who wants to know about majoring or doing a minor in Music at UNT.
- Any student who wants information about music courses for electives and University Core that are open to any degree major.
When?
Second Fridays at 2pm during the Fall and Spring terms. (Come at 1pm and take the tour of the Music Building first! Meet at MU247).

What will I learn?
- Hear about courses in Music that are available to UNT students, some of which count for Core or electives.
- Learn about the music degree options at UNT and the requirements for each:
Bachelor of Music (BM), Bachelor of Arts in Music (BA-Music), Music Minor at UNT.
- Take the music theory placement test if you have never taken a course in college-level music theory.
- Get advising information for music courses you qualify to take at UNT.
- Get planning advice on the courses you should take until you are ready to transfer to UNT.
